Additional models went to air forces elsewhere in the world: Britain's RAF in the mid-1960; Iran, Israel, and Korea later in the decade; Australia, West Germany, Japan, Greece, and Turkey in the early 1970s. As the USAF divested some earlier models, Spain also operated the Phantom II, and Egypt, having realigned itself closer to Western Europe and America, received several dozen in 1979.
