Fokker F.II

Luft Hansa • 1920

In 1920 another war in Europe (id est, between "civilizated countries" , not in Russia, Asia, Africa, SouthAmerica, etc) looked like improbable. Thousand of warplanes were scraped or sold to minor powers whith colonial troubles (as Spain in Morocco - Rif Republic). Interim, the commercial aviation can commence in serious terms.

Probably the first airliner designed ex profeso to carry passengers, and not based in some World War I bomber, the Fokker F.II was therefore a true civil aircraft. It was the fruit of a a semi-ilegal techonology transfer from Germany to Netherlands, where was fabricated.
